Returns, Replacements, and Warranty

Thank you for supporting Dropshot. Every unit is assembled with multiple QC checkpoints, burn-in testing, and a third-party inspection so players receive a reliable, tournament-grade product. The policies below explain exactly how we handle returns, replacements, and warranty coverage.

Kickstarter Sales

Purchases made through Kickstarter were part of a crowdfunding campaign, not a retail transaction.

All Kickstarter orders are final.

We cannot offer returns, refunds, exchanges, or order cancellations for any product purchased through Kickstarter.

If a product arrives damaged or defective, it is covered under our warranty terms below and will be repaired or replaced at no cost.

Standard Purchases

30-Day Return Window

You may return a Dropshot scoreboard or accessory purchased directly through our online store within 30 days of delivery if the product is unused, in new condition, and in its original packaging.

To begin a return, contact us at support@godropshot.com with your order number and reason for return.

Returns that do not meet the condition requirements will be declined or subject to a restocking fee.

Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned:

  • Products that show signs of use
  • Units with damaged or missing accessories
  • Apparel
  • Gift cards
  • Any item purchased through Kickstarter

Exchanges and Replacements

Arrived Damaged

If your package arrives damaged in transit:

  1. Take photos of the box and the unit within 48 hours
  2. Email support@godropshot.com with your order number

    We will handle replacements directly with the carrier.

Defective on Arrival

If your scoreboard or remote arrives non-functional or fails within the first 30 days of delivery:

  • We will replace it at no cost
  • We may request diagnostic photos or videos
  • In some cases we may ask you to return the defective unit so our engineering team can evaluate it
  • Replacement units ship only after verification of the issue

This protects customers and ensures we can isolate manufacturing or component problems quickly.

Warranty Coverage

One-Year Limited Warranty

Every Dropshot scoreboard, remote control, and official accessory is covered by a one-year limited warranty against:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Component failures not caused by misuse
  • Internal battery failures not caused by external damage
  • Firmware issues affecting normal operation

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

  • Damage from drops, impacts, or improper storage
  • Water damage beyond the device’s stated rating
  • Cosmetic wear and tear
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications
  • Use of third-party chargers, batteries, or accessories
  • Damage caused by operating the product outside normal temperature or environmental ranges

How Warranty Service Works

To start a claim, email support@godropshot.com with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Photos or video documenting the problem

We will determine whether repair or replacement is appropriate. Replacement units do not extend the original warranty period.

Lost or Stolen Packages

Once a package is marked delivered by the carrier, Dropshot is no longer responsible for loss or theft. If your package shows as delivered but is missing:

  • Check with neighbors or building staff
  • Contact the carrier to open a trace

    We will assist when possible, but replacements for stolen packages are not guaranteed.

Incorrect Shipping Address

Customers are responsible for entering the correct shipping information at checkout. Orders shipped to an incorrect address due to customer error cannot be refunded until the package is returned to us by the carrier.

International Orders

International customers are responsible for all duties, taxes, and import fees. Returned international packages due to refusal of customs payment will be refunded minus shipping and any return fees charged to Dropshot.
