How is Dropshot different from a normal electronic scoreboard?
Most electronic scoreboards let you change two numbers from a remote. Dropshot is built around pickleball itself: it tracks the score, the server and the serving side together, and a single tap on who won the rally updates all of it. A normal scoreboard asks what the score is. Dropshot asks who won the rally.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. Every Dropshot works from the dedicated remote or the iPhone app. The Apple Watch is just one more way to tap.
